  • Group Marketing Manager | Bayswater HQ

    WE WANT YOU! We're looking for a results driven Marketing Manager to help take our unique brand of immersive entertainment national!


    About Escape This:

    Escape This is growing at a rapid pace, and we’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts as we expand across Australia. If you have experience driving high-impact marketing strategies, are passionate about brand building, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, we want YOU!


    As the Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing strategy, overseeing all facets of digital marketing, and ensuring the Escape This brand is front-and-centre as we continue our national expansion. You’ll lead the charge in growing our brand awareness, generating conversions, and maintaining our reputation as Australia’s leading escape room operator.

    Headquartered in Perth, and hosting 100,000 wannabe escapees each year, our ever-expanding national portfolio of escape room venues has earned us quite the reputation: we’ve been dubbed the 'Toughest Escape Rooms' by Urban List, and called the "most extreme" by Perth Is OK!, all while earning thousands of 5-star customer reviews!


    Position Type: Full-Time


    Salary: From $95,000


    The Role:

    We’re seeking a long-term recruit to lead our marketing team – someone who will leverage and build upon our notable brand equity as we expand further in Perth… in Sydney… in Melbourne… everywhere! Your duties will include:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand growth, customer engagement, and sales across multiple channels (digital, social media, email, paid advertising).
    • Oversee the management of key external agencies, including a digital marketing agency and a video production agency, to support various marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Handle Meta and TikTok ads in-house, with the goal of balancing conversions with conversion costs to optimise ROI.
    • Collaborate closely with senior management (reporting to the Directors) and provide monthly written reports on marketing performance.
    • Lead a team consisting of a marketing & video assistant and a web developer, ensuring the delivery of high-quality marketing materials and a seamless online presence.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including Front of House in Perth and Sydney, and Props, and Tech at our Bayswater HQ to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment across all touchpoints.
    • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to ensure continuous optimisation.
    • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across campaigns.
    • Drive marketing innovations that elevate the guest experience and support new product offerings.

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • 5+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role with a focus on brand development and digital marketing.
    • Strong understanding of the escape room or entertainment industry (or a similar high-engagement environment).
    • Hands-on experience with campaign development, digital media strategies, and conversion optimisation.
    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills – you should be able to guide your team, collaborate with other departments, and provide clear direction.
    • A creative mind with the ability to think outside the box and push the boundaries of traditional marketing.
    • High attention to detail, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
    • A strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and make data-driven decisions.
    • Familiarity with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices.
    • Tertiary qualification in marketing, preferably at a postgraduate level.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience working in the entertainment, leisure, or hospitality industry.
    • Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, and paid social campaigns.
    • Previous experience working with agencies and third-party vendors.

    Punctual Job Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel as required for site visits and to oversee marketing efforts across new and existing venues.
    • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-moving, growing business with frequent changes in priorities.

  • Puzzle Technician (Electronics) | Bayswater HQ

    Escape This is looking for a Puzzle Technician (Electronics) to join our Perth HQ backstage team.


    Position Type: Full Time permanent.


    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.


    Job Role:

    Electronics power the special effects, theatrics and incredible puzzles within our escape rooms. In this role you will be working alongside our Props Master, Set Builder and Creative Director as we design, build, modify, improve and maintain the electronic wizardry that amazes and stumps our guests on a daily basis.


    The offered role includes both workshop and on-site requirements. 


    This role would suit a Graduate student or skilled hobbyist looking to broaden their experience and apply their knowledge in an exciting commercial environment.


    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Computer literate;
    • Arduino and Raspberry Pi programming skills (C+, C++ & Python based);
    • Familiarity with Visual studio code would be highly regarded;
    • Good Analytical skills and a can-do persona, willing to be part of a highly skilled and fun technical team.
    • A soldering iron ninja;
    • Sound knowledge of electronics components and their application;
    • Crafty, creative and highly technical;
    • Experience working safely with a variety of tools; and
    • Efficient, organised and able to work to strict deadlines. Flexible.

    Desirable Skills/Experience:

    • PCB design and build;
    • Cat 5/6 cabling;
    • Ethernet and Serial comms;
    • Audio system setup and design; and
    • Other skills and experience relevant to stage production.

    Qualifications: Related qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.

    WE WANT YOU! We're looking for customer experience driven Gamesmasters to deliver our brand of TOTAL IMMERSION in Northbridge and our brand spanking new Perth CBD venue!


    Position Type: Casual and Permanent Part Time Roles


    Salary: Per Amusement, Events and Recreation Award.


    Job Role:

    • Welcoming players and guiding them through electronic check-in.
    • Briefing each group on game process and rules.
    • Escorting players to their chosen room.
    • Actively following each room’s gameplay from monitors.
    • Assist with clues as and when required.
    • Greet players as they exit game and farewell the group as they leave the venue.
    • Reset escape rooms for next group.
    • General housekeeping duties.
    • Minor maintennce as required.
    • Other duties as required.

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • As the premier escape rooms operator in Australia, we expect high standards from each of our employees, including:
    • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
    • Great team skills, comradery and ethic - you must be a teamplayer!
    • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.

    Position Type: Permanent Part Time AND Casual (multiple roles available)
